Each year I have the pleasure of meeting so many families that have chosen Maine to be there go-to location for their families to converge from all over the country and spend some time-off from the every-day and just be with each other. Terry was turning 70 in 2016 and for his birthday his two daughters and their family decided to gift him with a portrait session in one of his most favorite locations: Maine. Terry’s wife, Gail, had been coming to Maine since she was a young girl and the Pemaquid Beach Maine region has always had a special place in her heart. After tolerating having their photograph taken for a bit, the kids promptly ran to do all the things that a giant playground full of sand allows: So. Much. Fun. With sand in their toes, rocks were thrown into the water, pants were tossed to the seaweed, sticks were raised, and treasure was sought in the wet sand. The whole crew enjoyed not only their photographs being taken but also just spending time together and allowing the cousins/grandkids to play together as the family members all lived some 1,500 miles apart the rest of the time. Here’s to many more years together on this pristine beach each summer! xo
